Further Details
RDBL offered an enabling works package and provided substantial cost saving for a Tier 1 client by designing a piling platform that was stepped which removed the previous requirement for Sheet Piling (saving in the region of £70-80k) along the boundary without applying any temporary loading on the existing live services and hoarding.
RDBL were able to reduce the depth of the proposed piling platform and also the amount of muck away which showed traces of asbestos in 3 of the 6 samples tested and save the client money by carrying out further testing to confirm.
Despite the tight access and restricted delivery times (9:30 to 15:00). RDBL sequenced the works safely with UXO clearance, pile probing and piling platform handed over in stages, so that program was reduced and completed one week ahead of target, enabling the client to carry out pile cap construction two weeks earlier than programmed after commencing one week later due to client delays.
